Kevin's 40th Birthday Bash
Join Kevin and Jane at their humble abode in the hills of Manayunk for a wonderful afternoon into evening celebration. Sixty or so people sweated it out in 90+ (thats 35 for you celsius folks) degree weather but still managed to knock back four corny kegs of homebrew and half a keg of YARDS ESA. Whew! I don't think I'll do that again... Ok, maybe on my next 40th... |

9th Annual HOPS BBQ
Brews & Blues at Mitch's. The biggest party of the year. Not to be missed. Belgian-style beer from one of the best breweries around... Flying Fish! If you've tried their Belgian Dubbel or ESB you know to be here! Newer members--This is you call to get to know us. Bring some dogs, burgers, sausage, steaks, chips, brew, colas, etc.. Feel free to bring a friend. Nothing more nnds to be said. If you get lost call Mitch at 215/745-0710. Only partially recovered from my birthday bash of the day before, I stumbled out to Mitch's for some of the best bar-b-que in town (the pork was amazing), a keg of ESB from the kind folks at Flying Fish, and a sampling of beers, meads and cider from Joe and Steve. The salads, dips, and deserts were all great (and the cornbread... I love cornbread). I didn't quite have the energy for the croquet and boccie ball. Anyone who loves bbq and hasn't seen Mitch's setup, better not miss the next opportunity. |
